web critiqueing needed possible problems viewing in other browsers

Hello everyone,

I am definately an amateur, in need of some critiquing on a site I have created for my husbands business. I am new to all this finding myself involved when my husband asked me to make him a web page. Before I started attempting to do this I never really appreciated what i was seeing while searching online. Now I have a much different perspective and respect for all the hard work, effort and skill involved in creating a site.

any thoughts or comments are greatly appreciated, the site is at http://www.allautoengines.com

thanks everyone

Start by not italicizing and bolding all of your "normal" text. Normal text should look normal. Use bold and italics for important things -- things that should stand out from the regular text.

Talking

Viewed on IE6, Mozilla 1.7, Opera 7, nad they all look the same to me, so thats ok...

IE says there is a javascript error.

Your tags should really be in lowercase, and its a good idea to be consitant with with things like: id="" style=""

Try running it through the xhtml validator:

http://validator.w3.org/

The text at the bottom of the first page appears to be all one 'mailto' link, which is a little odd. Also, it couls use some padding, to move it away from the left edge of the viewport.

Good luck

I use opera a lot, cause it's the fastest browser. But your site in opera piles all the information in the top corner and you can't read anything in there. In IE it's ok.

I guess its because you use too much javascript. Try to cut out the javascript as much as possible.

And maybe it's better to organize your layout with tables not with layers. Cause that's what probably causes the problem in Opera.

Then get rid of the counter. That's the number one mistake in marketing. Statistics you need only tourself, and there are better stuff you can use like awstats or maybe you host provides some other statistical program. www.eboomwebsolutions.com has many different statistical programs that help you to market your site.

Ok. Good luck with your site. We all started like that
