Thumbs up WebDesignersBookmarks.com

Hi Everybody,

I have launched a new project called WebDesigners Bookmarks http://www.webdesignersbookmarks.com

Would appreciate your critique, and suggestions on how to improve the site.

Thanks.

I really like the navigation; very simple. You did a nice job of integrating the Google Ad into your site. But on some of the pages the entire middle table would move to the right and would cause me to have to scroll to the right, it looks pretty bad. I've attached a screen shot.

Also: the page doesn't seem to have an end on the bottom, it appears as if it goes on, but it doesn't.

I like the clean and simple navigation though.

Your site has the same problem as many other sites have here. You need to make your pages more search engine friendly to generate more traffic. Don't use the same title for all your pages, each page should have descriptive title for that page. Don't put WedDesignersBooks.com into the itle of any pages. Title is the very important part of how search engines rank search results.

iNetter thanks for the review, I appreciate it. About the left column problem I will look into it, thanks for informing me about that. In Opera, Mozilla and IE it seems to be fine, I don't know which browser you are using. Or it might be a dynamic page generation error.

I have the same probs as iNetter, the sight shifts to one side.

Otherwise - it looks really nice - simple and effective

Well done

dejaone thanks for the suggestion, I agree with you about the search engine detection. However I am using one singe header file throughout the entire website. Inside the header file all the code for upper part is included, starting from Google AdSense banner and above, so it is really easy to update for me if anything to be changed.

Awesome site. I hope you stay with the project, I've already found it useful. You should add http://www.oswd.org to your list of webpage templates. They have a ton for free.

I agree about the page looking like you can scroll down when you cant.

I love the color coded ranking system. Def. keep that.

Once again, rad site. Looks fine on IE 5 at my school.

flamingxjune thanks for the feedback, I have added OSWD to the free templates list already.

I am determined to keep this project online, as long as it will be useful to Web Designers it will be there.
