Looks pretty good to me. Couldn't find any major issues, layout is "graphical" yet clean.

1) Your first page, the page is butted up against the top of the screen, but on the other pages a margin is added so there is a gray space between your content box and the top fo the screen. This is really noticable when you visit somewhere then click "back". A margin oversight?

Overall, I like, I really like the forward and backward buttons, brings a nice feature down into the page intself.

Butted?

hi jtenneson,

I'm sure that's what happening viewing my site on your browser, but unfortunately for me, i could not see it happening.
I have almost every browser on the net.. and i've tried the site on them all and get just exactly the same effect.

I surprised, could you try it and see if its still the same?

You should specify a doctype for the document though

I noticed in some pages you have ALT tags in the image-map and other pages you don't.

http://www.websolutionarchives.com/...oad/scripts.htm

That one doesn't have any ALT tags. If you use images for links you should always use ALT tags.

You're right, but i have been working on the second version of my layout and making all the changes necessary, cause i've been gathering lots of critique from visitors.
I had little time over to make the changes on the site as it is, but i will surely upload the new version soon with the changes made. About the alt tags, have solved them all and have changed my code from HTML to XHTML.

Thanks guys, but please keep up coming with your critique, cause it really helps

Taken from your HTML code
Code:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">

Thats not XHTML.

I like the tabs at top (html, css, php, fireworks etc) and the 'home' text, but on my machine (win98 ie 6.028), they strike me as being a little hard to read, either too bold or too small.

The thinner 'forward', 'back', and the 1/2 circle 'websolutionarchives' are easier to read.

And if it works for you, not a problem, but you're 'Contact Us' button threw me a little. I knew it was to small to fill out, but having the form there was a little odd.

Overall good look, feel, color scheme.

Last thought, what are those arrows between your upper tabs for?

hi, thanks for the time to share your opinions with me, i'd start by answering you question. The arrows between my upper tabs have no funtion really, i thought it gives the site some better view. Maybe make it more attractive.

The text on the upper menu have been a bit of a problem, i have changed it over and over again, but keep on getting comments that they were difficult to read. So i am now making some big changes on the layout itself and i am hoping that i will oneday get the right text that is readable to atleast 90% of my visitors..

Its not unreable, just not as readable as it could be. Making the letters thinner, or increasing their size would probably work wonders.
