i have been working on this holiday site for a while, mainly doing the behind the scenes work (PHP, MYSQL etc)

I would appreciate any comments and feedback on any part of the sites design, functionality, visuality, etc

Also it would be interesting to know who would use the site and if you would please state if you would use it as a resource and/or submit your own fabulous experiences!!

There is also a forum www.fabhols.com/travellerschoice obviouslly i dont need feedback on the design of it as i didnt do it !! i just installed it. But it would be helpful to know if people would use it !!

I think the visual design is good and kind falls in to place with the tropical theme you have for the site.

A few negative points I found though was that it uses table layouts and inline content, as well as GoLive generated code. In reality, these are fine though for people viewing the site... I dislike table layouts as I'm a person who doesn't use wyswig editors and often find nested tables very nasty. also, seperating structure from layout with stylesheets is also desirable, as it makes a site easier to maintain. As for GoLive... I have too many hard feeling toward it after having to deal with it's bloated, senseless code.... the quick and dirty way to swap images on mouseover is:

yes i agree with you about the tables etc, but unfortunatly that is not my responsibility..as i mentioned above i generally do the php etc for it however i am gald you have said it so i can now pass that on and see if we can now change it !!!!!!

As for the nasty code u mention that was created by a guy who is no longer working on the project and it is something i am just to busy to do anything about and it works, so.....

The homepage lay looks crammed.the images looks messy. Try aligning the pics hor and ver, that should make it look more orderly.

But its not too bad , another programmer wearing multiple hats, good on ya.
