my webpage for Flaw, how good/bad is it?

I'm pretty much finished now with the addition of the improved guestbook and new server. Comment, suggestions, criticism is appriciated.

Webpage

Also, the left navigational bar won't work in IE 5, is there something to get around this? it works fine in all others that i've tested it in, including later versions of IE.

Thanks,
Amory

Your nav bar doesn't work in Mozilla either.

The one page I do see looks fairly professional. The design is very minimalist, but almost too much so. The layout is a common design, and the paper pattern on the top is just too well known as a PS filter.

I almost didn't look at your post though, since I tend to skip over messages without a descriptive subject.

Is there more than one page?

Is there more than one page?

Currently my browser does not support shockwave flash, and I could see no navigation at all.

There was absolutly only one link on the page; the (towerrecords.com) one...

I think it was just a left out comma in the js file, but it had worked for me earlier in the day so i don't know what the problem was. It's fixed now though.

Cuttlefishstick --> in your opinion does it look worse than if it was just a plain color?

That's coming. This is just a host to keep it up until i eventually get a domain and add it on. index.html currently is a beginning page which has gotten annoying and i haven't taken it off yet.

You don't need to eliminate it all together. But if you lighten the effect. Say, make a layer above that one of the same shade of blue, and make it, say 75% opacity. That'll give it a much more subtle effect. Although with the flash animation not having any background behind the letters, you'd be better off matching the two. Either add a background to the flash, or remove the background from around the flash.

The navigation now works for me.

On your submenus, you reduced the text size. The menus are already small, you shouldn't make the submenus any smaller. The indentation is a good enough indicator that it's a submenu.

Looking at the photos>band page, when I mouseover the link names, the text changes style, but it's not a link. I'd either remove the mouseover functionality, or make it into a link.

For each group of band pics, you have two links, the page# and the URL. Without looking at the status bar, I couldn't tell why you had two different links. Think about how you could reword that.

When I click on the page links, (page1, page2..) the page doesn't indicate on it what I'm looking at. This is rather necesary, esp since you have next and prev buttons at the bottom of the page.
