I think your web site is neat. It does what it needs to do. You need to add more content. Hope you get some gigs soon.

Thanks for the feedback! I agree about the content. We should be getting pictures tomorow, sound clips of us, and short videos. Someone at my school requested we put games on there. Ha ha quite a cool idea but not for this site...

Hi guitar_boy, heres my 2 cents.
I think you should use a fixed size layout instead of 'liquid' style. Just look at the "welcome" text on the home page, its just too wide across (my screen res is 1152x864), makes it look weak, and is hard / unpleasant to read. You can target 800x600 screens, but not necessarily use up every pixel, try a around 700px across? The design looks fragmented as well, you see the logo on the left and a decorative image on the right. This just breaks the focus. To make this type of layout work, you should use a unifying backgroud color, so that the top space looks like a continues band. The animated live gig pics on the top does not need to be animated. Instead try using one frame of them in each section. So when someone is browsing your site, it looks like every section they visit they get to see a bit more of your band. Also, using static images means that you can make the images more hi res on each page. Your logo hmmm, that is just too dark dude. Looks too low res, and kindof shabby to be honest. That can be improved definately. Lastly, your navigation links are stacked too close, perhaps try a seperator image in between the links? overall I think you did good, good luck man |
