Just recently I purchased FrontPage 2003 so I could build a website for the company I work for. I'm always looking to improve it and was wondering if I could get any helpful critiques.

Looking good so far.

What you should think about doing is reducing the size of your pictures... not height and width but memory size. It took a whiloe to download on my broad band ( a few seconds) so just thinkin about those poor dial up people!

Also you may want to re align your tab/ buttons at the top to the left. to me it would seem more logical to pull them to one side.. but i think thats just picky!

also you may consider putting more content on to the maoin page.. it seems a little light.. especially towards the bottom underneathe the bottom pics.

I like your logo quite a bit. Nicely done.

Also going with the tabs needing to be aligned left. Were I you, I'd also consider changing the way that you've displayed the contact and address information.

Be it personal preference, but I think you should also have outlines on your pictures. Also needing some type of bar or seperator is just below your tabs and just above the start of the body of your main white bit there.

Lastly your counter is a slight blow to professionalism with the link to the right of it. There're plenty of counters that are hidden and/or provide linking upon clicking the counter vs another externally displayed link.

He wants to make our website look more like this one (which I will make ours look like this one anyways because he wants it ) I was just wondering which you like more, the one my boss likes or the one I developed.

to be honest i prefer your designs to the others.

I think if you tweak your site and just sort out those few probles you could have yourself a nice little site.


one other little criticism/ comment i think needs to be made is the gradient bar at the top and on the left. I can see what effect you are trying to do but if you are going to put those flash tabs on it makes the site look like it is seperate parts.

If you consider simply putting your logo onto the same colour background as you have on the right hand side then there is no need for the gradient and the tabs can all have the correct background colour.

i also agree with the comments about the pictures having Borders. It would look a lot nicer.

The other site you suggested looks boring. and mundane! at least with yours it has a modern(ish) layout!
