This is a temporary host for an artist friend's gallery site. I would most like critiques of the format and functionality of the site as alot of it's content is absent.. ie artist statement is missing, most of the artist's works haven't been added.

Thanks for your time.

Here it is

Hi the site looks nice

Just one thing - I was wondering why on the homepage the links are at the bottom, but on every other page, at the top!

But overall, clean and simple

The primary pint of the index page/home page/entry page or any page that is first loaded it to tell the visitors something about the site like what it is about.

Looking at your entry page, I can see nothing that can tell the visitors what is the site all about.

Good luck

thanks

thanks for all your input. I'll have to add a page to inform people what the site is all about. I'm not sure it'll be the first page though because we wanted to keep it looking like his business card.

The client wanted this. The first page doesn't require any scrolling on 800x600. The others likely will. That is why he chose to do this.

Has anyone had any problems with images failing to load in the gallery? Sometimes this happens to me in IE and NN.

Please con't take any offense to this, but the site design doesn't really look like a design at all. I see four links on the bottom with a image to the left. And an image in the middle. That's pretty much it. I don't know what to say to it, but like someone said in an above post, you could make the links change color when scrolled over.
