Recently made the move from messy HTML design to the wonderfully validated XHTML/CSS, I'm now a true convert and tables are no more, I never thought I'd say that!
This is the first page of what will be a huge site (I just wanted to get a few pages working 100%). The link is: here This is the selection page for a TV show, the following pages work: Flame, Nightshade, Jet, Panther, Warrior and Trojan. Feel free to comment on any aspect of the site. I have one or two small problems with the site on a Mac and IE4 but hoping these can be resolved. |

Wow, you have a fantastic site. I have only a few minor suggestions. For one, is the animated navigation bar supposed to only have 3 links? At the bottom of the page I see seven. Maybe put more links on the top navigation bar, assuming thats not the plan?
The white text on the bright red portion of the background is a little tough to read, yet it read quite nicely on the darker red portion. Perhaps this dark red should carry into all areas that have white text? I would make the links stand out a little more just on their own. I think you've bolded some of them, but I think they dont show up that well in the mass of white text. Maybe some other colors or text decorations? Last thing, on the animated nav bar, the G loops an animation of it twisting around. Maybe only play that once? It gets a little distracting. And the blinking red and white lights to the edges of the animated nav bar are also distracting, maybe make them fade in and out slowly instead of rapidly as they are? These are all minor fixes, besides these I think the website is really fantastic. |

Thank you for your reply rooroo, it is great to get some feedback.
Yep, your right about the navigation bar with three buttons. The idea will be to have the main sections across here, I just am having a bit of a designer moment and can't decide exactly how I want it to look as I hate the current buttons. I must work on this section! Ha ha. I think a nicer font will do the trick. I also think your right about the bright red, I think a darker tone would actually fit in better with the site, I want a bit of a mean and moody look so I think I will take this option and thanks to the CSS this should be pretty easy. As for the links I agree again, I think I will add an underline to make it stand out more. As for the animations, I do kind of like them although I guess they do attract attention, I think I will keep them until I get bored of them! Once again thanks for the compliments and views. |

I couldn't agree with you more. The animations are really distracting and I think your solution is quite a nice comprimise to the current version and a static one. As for the site, you have some errors in your CSS. Just thought you might want to know. |

You're quite welcome. It always helps to have another eye look at your work. Good luck and hope to see websites in the future.
