The image behind the "Latest" section takes forever to load, as do several other images / sections. You might want to take the time to optimize some images if you can. The layout isn't bad, but it looks like a purchased template.If you had like 1 or 2 posts, I'd call that SPAM, but with 50+, I'll call it a "plug".

what do you mean? How can i optimize my images and what is a plug?

By plug I think he means you took this oppurtunity to promote your site. Did you create this layout? If done in photoshop, you should be able to optimize the images using ImageReady

Save the file in different file formats and even different compression levels for those formats (not all formats have compression options). Depending on what the image is (how many colors it has and where they are in relation to other colors) will depend on how large the resulting file is. I usually use JPGs for photos; PNGs work well for gradients. You'll just have to play with it a bit.Free advertising.

That image is what NOT to do. BMP format is not meant to be used on the internet, its horrid. Save the file as a JPG (JPEG).

Also resize the image to make it smaller, no point having all of that image there if you are only displaying it at a fraction of the size.
