This site is about 1 generation from finishing it (basically need to go through and get some of the little details worked out).

Thoughts are welcome, but what was wanted was something simple and quick loading.

What I really need some crit on is the videos. I used Mpeg-4 because the loss rate is not that bad for the file size, however I am recompressing the DSL and LAN links into Sorenson 3. The file size is about the same as the LAN and three times the viewable image.

DivX is not an option as we have to make it as cross platform as possible, but 90% of other users are going to be windows with the other 9% Mac's proably.

Any thoughts/suggestions....

Software used:
GoLive 6.0 (content management/layout)
Photoshop 7 (logo)
iMovie
Final Cut Pro 3
Quicktime Pro 6.3

Why are you using such a small screen area? It squashes up the content and creates extra scrolling.

1. If you navigate through ...

http://www.imagephotovideo.com/index.html
http://www.imagephotovideo.com/aboutus.html
http://www.imagephotovideo.com/othersay.html
http://www.imagephotovideo.com/prices.html

you notice that the navigation bar moves slightly, which means that you don't have exactly the same URL for these pages. Check HTML and make sure that HTML is written correctly so that the navigation bar does not move around.

2. Quite frankly, photos/images on the site do not look that great. You might be a great photographer, but the website does not look like that.

3. 56k video does not look great no matter how you try; if you are broadcasting news, it does the job, because viewers want to listen to news and (kind of) watch video. In your case, you want to make it look good, so do you want to put something that does not look no matter how you try? I am not quite sure.

These are some comments I have.

Given that this area is far from being high tech, we see more people than you'd think that still have 14" and 15" monitors @ 640x480. I didn't believe it myself until I got into technology consulting down here and its amazing. Granted we're talking backwoods Missouri and Arkansas here, but still...

Plus I uploaded a new T-1 video today compressed in Sorenson 3. Yes this makes it QT only, but files size was only 500k more for a much larger video size.

The photos are what the photographer gave me and the video at 56k...I am not sure if there much more I can do...
