Hi,

I don't like the changing fonts. I think they should be consistent, or at least from the same family, throughout.

The category list doesn't fit in FX, eg, the "clubs" symbol goes onto a second line.

You could make use of CSS more, you are using old HTML, IMO you should at least mark it up to HTML 4 strict - there is no doc-type definition, there are illegal characters when you run it through the validator *. I should say don't use tables, you can do the same effect when using CSS properly - it makes the pages a lot lighter too.

* Using correct HTML and CSS syntax will benefit you in 2 ways:
1: Pages will load faster (attributes defined and CSS should store in cache)
2: In compliant mode, you have at lease some guarantee of what the page will look like in different browsers - in quirks it is very browser specific.

Hope that helps..

Good luck.

some design comments

I agree with everything said above.

Here are some other subjective comments:

I like the blue header image, but I don't like the arrows coming from the Japan map to the globe. They could be more dynamic, like the blue lines that enclose the header.

The serif font really doesn't sit well with the rest of the site.

I find the orange of the "Sign up, Start bid, Translate, FAQ" menu difficult to read.

The "Customer login" box doesn't fit very well up against the header.

The main body content text should be brought away from the edges a bit - it's too close to the "category list" and "new items".

I would break up the text a bit more, making it easier to skim through, and possibly make the title stand out more.

I don't mean to be critical, but it always helps to have some feedback
