www.merewaybathrooms.co.uk

This is the website I have created for my company. I would class myself as an amateur web designer, just picked up little bits from University.

I'm currently working on a 800 x 600 version (and the site will autodetect screen size).

It has already been ripped apart by our Marketing team a few times and now we're very nearly happy with the site.

Just wanted to get a general opinion.

Doesn't have valid HTML code, http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=h...nline&verbose=1
seems to download really slowly. There are mozilla issues too. The main background image in the right frame didn't show until I clicked the menu on the left. You should "fix" it too, no-repeat etc...
I don't have lots of plug-ins so I have no idea what I am missing. Should have alternative text.
Accessories page: Position cursor over image for description -> doesn't work -> You need to use the title tag, alt tag is alternative tag if a user isn't accepting images.

Scrolling stauts bar text

what jabba said.

My 2 cents:
The gallery's meterial thumbs doesn't work well man, since they just look like featureless colored rectangles. I would suggest you also place a thumbnail of the final bathrooms next to the material chips. so people can get a feel for the final product at a glance. If I don't click to see the enlarged view, its hard to visualise the final product. And since the large view loads on a _blank window, its hard to keep track of which is which after a while. Having a smaller thumb right next to the material chip definately would help in recall.

To nitpick, the water droplets near your logo, look like paint drops, need more transparency (give me a break! I hear you say? )

Look and feel wise, I think you put in a good effort! (just to make you feel better jk) Again what jabba said is correct, if people can't see it, or if its too much hassle, they'll just leave. simple as that.
