hi,

im creating a portfolio of sites ive done. (there arnt many)..and i have little bits and bobs2 do on them

any comment on layout, colours, nav etc..

I have a suggestion. Open the links in a new window so that your original page won't disappear.

perhaps a little padding on the boxes with the descriptions in, personally I don't like to see text right against the border.

It's nice to see someone take effort over thier portfolio.

I would suggest cropping the menus and scroll bars from your screen shots and replace them with a plainer border.

Also your great background seems to have a little orangey bit at the bottom it shows up agaisn't colour scheme.

There are also some accesability issues but your code is pretty good.

Generally a bad idea on the grounds of user rights, it's a mild form of browser hijacking.

Your css could have a lot of weight taken out of it, although i suppose if you're anything like me you're waiting till you finish off the site before you do that.

Accessibility:
- you set your text size in pixels, this will not scale in IE
- title attributes! they're great they are
- and images need alt attributes!

Semantics:
- i would use an image replacement techinique to get your title image into a h1 tag, or better yet, drop the image and replace with some styled text.
- your navigation menu should be marked-up as a list.
- the headers on your page seem to all be h2, it would be more semantic to have it ordered something like, h1, h2, h3, h3.

Anyway, i don't want to sound too negative because i think it's a really great site, looks really cool and sleak, an impressive advert of your skills
