I personally prefer the original one. I'm not a big fan of dark colours on sites like this. For a start a lot of people wont view them at work. i don't know why but a dark background on a website is associated with wargames, piracy or keygen type sites. White background is more professional and looks vaguely work related which means people don't mind it being seen on their PCs in their lunchbreaks. I know not everyone spends their day cooped in a large open-plan office, but for those that do light is best!
Hope that helps.

I kind of like the new look more. The original looks cleaner, but I like the style of the new one seems to fit more with the concept. I really like the addition of the tagline and the small graphic to to the header.

both are basic ...
skateboarding and progamming??
you may be better off looking at something like wordpress with a theme for that up to date look...
finall i think the colours on the new layout are a bit busy and the green maybe doesnt go. I can see where you are going but i think they just don't work.
if i had to chose i would say the old one. the second is better in ways but the pastel on black colour scheme kills it for me.
you have clearly put effort in building it from scratch but you have to ask yourself - "will it stand out in the crowd?"
why not have a look round for some templates like the ones at freecsstemplates.com?

The new one is much more modern. Don't be afraid of dark designs!

I prefer the original one as it looks cleaner due to the light colours. I think I can understand what you are trying to aim for with the darker sight, but the dark grey and light neon pink and green just make it look a bit less professional.
I think you could get away with a mixture of the two, a black/dark background with light blue (definitely with highlights and curves and rounded bits) on top of it.
