2 Probs - Windows Media Player & Save Target As command
Whenever i go to get an MP3 off the internet, even one's i've made and uploaded, it comes up with this error: Invalid syntax (Error=800401E4)
At Microsoft it doesn't have a description for that error ![]() I have WinAMP installed, and the file types are associated with WinAMP, not Windows Media Player anyway, how can I fix this? ______________________________ When i right click a link in an internet browser, there's an option to save target as, but for me, whenever i right click a link, it's inactive, meaning i can't click it and save the target as, how can i make it so i can save the target, and the save target as command is active/clickable? thnx |

SYMPTOMS
When you right-click a Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) link in Microsoft Internet Explorer, the Save Target As and Print Target commands may be unavailable. In addition, when you click Print on the File menu, the Print All Linked Documents check box may be unavailable. CAUSE This behavior can occur if Content Advisor is enabled. RESOLUTION To work around this behavior, use one of the following methods: Method 1 Disable Content Advisor by following these steps in Internet Explorer: In Internet Explorer 4, on the View menu, click Internet Options. In Internet Explorer 5, Interntet Explorer 5.5 and Internet Explorer 6, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options. Click the Content tab. Under Content Advisor, click Disable. In the Password box, type the supervisor password, and then click OK. When you receive the following prompt, click OK: Content Advisor has been turned off. Make sure you turn it on again before you allow someone else to use your computer. Method 2 Click the HTML link to load the Web page, and then on the File menu, click Save As or Print. This method assumes that the Web page successfully passes through Content Advisor. see also: URL |

To do this, click start, run, type in REGEDIT, click ok, this opens registry editor. Click + in front of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, + in front of SOFTWARE, + in front of Microsoft, + in front of Windows, + in front of Current Version, + in front of Policies, Click Ratings, look to right, Click line below Default, press delete, enter. Leave default line only in right pane. Close registry editor. Next click start, find, files and folders, type "ratings.pol" in top line, C: in bottom, find now. When this file is found, delete it. This will remove password set, and leave content advisor fully operable. Next time, chose a password you can remember.
