A wierd microsoft thing

A couple of weeks ago i tried installing winXP, over win2k (as an upgrade). Halfway through the install it stopped, and my computer was totally ruined. I managed to repair it by installing win2k again.

However there are all kinds of errors that it says. For example, when i open messenger it says
"The procedure entry point crdpconverttargetinfo could not be located in dynamic link library advapi32.dll"

Then it says the same kind of thing but with ntdll.dll

Another thing is i can't run IIS any more, it says it could not connect to host when i click manage on my computer.

Anyone have any ideas y it is doing this?

well if it's a *cough* backup copy of xp i've seen issues trying to upgrade from 2000....

i forget now what the problems were, but this could be a result of it, if like i said if this is a backup copy of xp.

but i've always followed one rule when it comes to loading os's, always run a clean install, never run an upgrade...always causes problems...

and i would suggest to reinstall 2000 clean...or just wipe the drive and install xp....
