Administrator password doesn't allow access to Windows XP
I am using Windows XP professional on a laptop. A service technician (under contract from the laptop company) replaced the screen and did an automatic bios update (which was not requested). Now, the Administrator password doesn't work. Laptop company says its a software problem even though their technician did the bios upgrade which most likely corrupted the password files. However, I have booted up into safe mode but the hidden Administrator (blank password) also doesn't work. How can I get in without losing any of my data?
