Exclamation Automatic Standby in win2000

Hi,

I've installed windows 2000 in my computer and i have some big problems:

When i use some programs like Kazaa or Internet Explorer, when i push the space key, the computer enters automatically in standby. In the same way, when i push the cursors keys, it shows me some strange characters. Can anyone tell how to resolve these problems? Thanks in advance,

Pedro Oliveira

Sounds like a virus, what are you using for virus scanning? Adware and bot control?

I use the Norton Anti Virus with the last actualizations and also Lavasoft's Adware. None of these programs detected something. I also use Zone Alarm Pro as firewall. I don't know how to resolve these problems.

I would still use Spybot:
http://www.safer-networking.org/ in addition to to AdAware.

Also your problems are not over if you continue to use Kazaa. Anything you download via: P2P runs a risk if being infected with a virus.

Good luck

Hi,

I've tried SpyBot and all of my problems had gone. Thanks,

Pedro Oliveira
