Since BSOD is not BSD, I moved your post to the Windows forum so you will get some help.

On that note what brand is this 500w PSU?

You need to capture and post the blue screen error.

Though you may want to run with only one stick of gig memory to see if that makes a difference.

Let's see if we can see what error is causing the problem:

Right-click on My Computer and go to Properties.
Click the Advanced Tab
Click Settings under Startup and Recovery
Uncheck the box next to Automatically restart

Click OK
Click OK again

This will make it so that your computer won't reboot... But instead, it will show you the BSOD with an error.

Post back the error exactly as you received it.

When I do what you say here I get this:-
Archive and Index attributes
a folder and text saying choose tyhe options you want for this file
then a check box saying file is ready for archiving which is checked
the another check box saying for fast searching, allow indexing service to index this file which also is checked

Then
Compress or Encrypt attributes

another check box which is unchecked saying compress contents too save disk space

un-highlighted box saying Encrypt contents too secure data with a tab also unhighlighted saying details, an ok tab and a cancel tab.

Compress contents too save disk space which is unchecked

You seem to be inattentive. Hiker said you need to change the advanced options of your computer system.

You should have done -
1. Enter the properties of My Computer (right-click on MY COMPUTER icon or press windows+break anywhere)
2. Check the TAB called "advanced" and
3. Put the tick off from the automatic restart.
4. Click OK.
After this - next time when you have your problem - you will see BSOD (Blue screen of death) which teels yopu what the problem is. Post it here and someone will surely help you.

You have posted what is seen on the First TAB of properties dialogue. You needed to go Advanced tab. Is everything clear?
