You don't need a fax machine to get faxes. Get a fax-to-email fax number from CallWave. Try it free.

Help!
I'm guessing this is Win2K related. The problem is that if I have more than 2 browser windows open, then only 2 will load and the other just say they can't contact the address (they don't even try most of the time). This is really bugging me as when I was running '98 I could have 20+ windows open on a machine 1/4 of the power with no apparent problems. Even worse, when I download something it gives all my bandwidth to the download and wont let me continue browsing unless the page is cached. So I have to sit and wait for the download to finish before continuing which lengthens my online time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

I've never had that problem, but have you installed the latest service pack, SP2? Or even updating IE, though I wouldnt upgrade to 6, I'd just get sp2 (or is it 3) for ie. Hope this helps ..

i must correct my last post.
this was not a problem on win2k but on the 9x-versions. so please just ignore what i said... the only thing i experience sometimes similar to your problem is SERVERS or PROXYs limiting your simultanous requests...

Hmm, well I'm going to try switching off anything that doesn't seem to be used. Though if I had the bottle I'd reinstall win2k on my machine cos not much is working correctly anyway...
