burning cd's
Hello I recently bought a cd burner with a program called CD-Maker. The reason i bought the thing is because my kids keep playing my games and end up with scrached cd's. I thought this way Ill have a back up. well I tried to burn a game (The Thing) and low and behold I can install the game from the new disk but i cant play it. am I doing somthing wrong?

Sounds like there's some copy protection on the disk. You'll have to use the actual disk to play, or find a way to play without using the disk...

is this a pc game or for a playstation or simular system, if it is for a game system karsh is correct, they do have copy protection, there are programs on the net that allow you to copy those formats, they are legal as long as you only make one copy for backup purpose and own the game you have the copy of.
