can any1 please tell me if the contents of the
folders below can be delected

C:\WINDOWS\Driver Cache
C:\WINDOWS\Web
C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS

please feedback me

If you are trying to save space, get rid of the Kazaa downloads :P

The best way to save space is to burn your mp3's onto a CD and
clean them of your drive.

All this deleting, the next question would be:

Why do I get a blue screen?

Arrow hey

i´m not a newbie and i use linux and know the
meaning of the dirs but in windows as you all
know ther´s no mans or howtos

i´m only asking this because in previous ms systems
like 95/98/me i delected a lot of files and dirs because
i know the meaning of almost all directories of that os´s
but in windows xp there´s a lot of things i think they´r
problaly more ms garbage , like the system restore
and similar services that create a lot of useless ****

thanks anyway

Check this link, i had the same question, and i found the use of this folder, is to have multiple versions of dll related files and avoid crashes.

C:\WINDOWS\Driver Cache£¬may delete,but your computer's system files lost protect.
C:\WINDOWS\Web£¬if delete them,then lost much prompt and browse icon.
