Can IE 4, 5, 6 all co-exist on the same system?
I have to test an intranet site and was wondering if it would be possible to install IE 4, 5, 6 all the same system for testing?
Thanks. |

IE is essentially part of the OS in Windows, so IE can only exist in one state on the system and certain OSs need to have a certain version (IE5 for Win2K for example). So you're stuck unless you partition the drive and install a new OS in each partition (with different IEs) and boot accordingly (or something similar). The best thing to do, if it has to work on all, is to install the lowest common denominator (ie IE4) or get a friend to check the sites for you.

As web programmers, I say the best version to install is version 5.5, or 5.0 next. Not too many people use 4 anymore.. and 6 is starting to get common, but many are still in the 5's.
