Try using a little app called "Tweak Manager" from WinGuides.

http://www.winguides.com/

the app is rather inexpensive, and allows for registry manipulation across a network, as well as the local machine.

Smile BootXP.net

Hi there,

This is about all i can give you...
I found out about this program a while back when i was trying to find a completely free boot screen changer utility for Windows XP... Xtra Pointless, or Xtra Patched.
LOL!

anywho... the site is called www.bootxp.net
I found out while browsing for boot screens.. that there a few .. not much.. but boot screens that are made for windows 2000.
THe BootXP program will run and runs great in Windows 2000 Pro... dono about the family.. but the kindir seems to run fine.

anywho... that's `bout it.
Hope you enjoy.

boot

eggoz was right, it is not safe, can cause start up shut down problems, since you didnt know how in the first place, try one of those third party software programs, like the other suggested, if not done correctly, you will not boot.

Re: BootXP

Eggozz is right,

your choice to change boot screens in XP or 2000 PRo.

but .. again... it can be done Right with out any problems... and
www.bootxp.net has a program that is completely safe for changing boot screens..

but there are other alternatives that can subject to a none bootable OS.. and that's changing the boot screen manually w.out any 3rd party software applications.

I guarantee that this program won't have any effect.
Check it out if you want more info.

Been happily doing it with StyleXP for months, no problems whatsoever...

In fact, XP with a Mac OSX look and feel is sooo much nicer than the Tellytubby experience they offer you.

LOL.. teletubbies

Yeah..

i know what you are thinking...
i don't like the standard XP design as well.

actually.. after switching from XP pro back to 2000 Pro... I finally found the damn program that makes your OS.. completely look like Mac Os X.. (with the help also.. of WindowBlinds)

is yztoolbar..

THis program.. adds that lovely animated toolbar that is equiped with OS X for Mac.

here's the link for the website where you can download the free toolbar.
http://yz.designtechnika.com/softwa...r/index_en.html

here's a great place for stylexp skinsl, windowblind skins, and yztoolbar wallpapers, skins, and themes.

www.deskmod.com

enjoy!
