cannot start my pc with normal

I have a problem with start my pc,
every time I on my pc button, it's show the motherboard screen. but when it's try to start the windows, it will hang in the window 2000 load page. but if I reset the pc and on again. it's became normal.

so is that my partition table problem or any because before that i have use partition magic to partition my harddisk?

I have tried the cable for my hardisc, check my RAM. re-plug all the cable. but the same problem appear, I still need to on and reset more then one time to start my PC every time.

any one can help me about it?

yes it could be because you used partition magic, what did you add or remove with it, and how many drives do you have on your computer, cdrom, ide, and what i assume you use ide, tell us if it is raid or scsi, need to know which devices are on which controllers and what the jumper settings are.

my computer got c,d(cdrom),e,f (before that only c,d) and other i'm not so clear
