could someone clarify iso files a little more

i have read every tutorial out there, and i am confused. i am trying to learn about burning images and all the tutorials seem to have different ways... so here are my questions:

1. Are bin/cue files located within the .iso file (after you extract the iso file, bin & cue files are there)

2. If I want to play a downloaded game which is in an .iso format, all i need to do is burn the .ISO to a disc (i have nero 6)--or do i need to extract the files first hand??

3. Why are there some pages saying I need to extract the files & mount them to a virtual drive using daemon tools & then burn them...and some saying all i need to do is extract the files & burn then...and yet others saying all i need to do is burn the .iso file itself...while others talk about an overburning thing???

4. which should i do?

please answer my questions, itd help me out a bunch

if you downloaded a file, and it says it's a iso but wont open no matter what you use, nero, easy cd creator...................look up a program called isobuster.
http://www.webattack.com/get/isobuster.shtml
it will open anything, use the free function only and you can extract a iso just like using a zip program and yes the bin/cue files are in the iso before extraction. after you extract the files use nero to burn your files. shouldn't have to worry about overburning if you know much at all about nero. if not just use the start smart and follow the directions.
i hope i actually answered your questions, and did not make the situation more confusing.

1: No.

2: Just burn it. GO to burn image in Nero.

3: The only reason you would need to mount a virtual drive is to not have to waste a cd to install the app or watch the movie. That way you can do it locally and save a disk.
