Question Create a User, and change security settings using MSI or login scripts????

Hi

I have some asset management software and I would like it to use a set username and password, but because I’m not using Active Directory I can’t add local admin accounts to the computers without going to each and every computer.

I tried creating a MSI file using Zenworks 6.5 MSI Packager, Where I took a snap shot of a clean computer then changed a few settings and took another snap shot, the things I changed where: -
+ Added A User with Password
+ Changed some wmimgmt.msc settings
+ Changed some dcomcnfg.exe
+ Changed some Firewall settings
+ Changed some registry settings

This takes about 20/30 mins to do (computer needs to be restarted as well), but the Zenworks could not create the user on my test system it just created the SSID number for that user which does not help.

Can anyone help with setting up a MSI or Login Script to get this done, I can distribute to all users using Zenworks?

Regards
MattE
