Default Port for RealVNC
I am using RealVNC downloaded it recently like 1 month ago.
i had an older version and i remember seeing the config , but I can not seem to find the port configuration on the newer version. Anyone know what the defualt port is so i can open it up? or does know how to search which ports are in use on ur machine? |

If this is a VNC type program, the default port for VNC on a redhat linux box is 5900 + whatever display # the server is using. So if it's the 1st x server you'll connect on port 5900. I use TightVNC on the windows side which defaults to 5900 but you can change it in the program settings.
netstat will show you your port usage. Do a netstat /? from a command prompt. |

I use tightvnc and connect to it via a browser by typing
http://[your ip address]:5800/ example: http://127.0.0.1:5800/ Hope that helps. |
