deleting files in "ready to burn on CD" folder

I have a strange problem. I have burned the files to a CD but they are still in the CD-Burner folder/drive as if they are ready to burn, I know, I will never use WinExplorer to burn CDs. I tried to delete the files (right-click to delete temporary files, select+shift+delete, del *.* in command line...) but no luck. I always get an error message that the files are being used by another process. How can I find what process is holding the files so I can kill it and then delete the files???

Please help, because this is really starting to annoy me. tnx.

Is it happen to be a AVIfile?

    I. Then or in any way, try to change its extension.

II. Try to delete it together with the folder.
