I know there has already been a couple of posts about dual booting an XP/98 System but I didn't seem to find the answer to my question in any of them...
I have a WinXP Pro C: drive working *perfectly* (ahem!). I recently put my old 4 GB drive in to install Win98SE on it to play some old "not-quite-XP-friendly" games... BTW, My C: Drive is master and F: drive (the 4GB one) that I can't seem to get to be other than F: since my two CD drives already are D: and E , is slave. Finally, HERE IS MY PROBLEM heheheI tried to install Win98SE on my second, FAT32 HD... But it won't!I boot from a Win98SE Bootdisk but I can't choose to install Win98SE to any other drive except C... The problem is that my C: drive is NTFS and contains WinXP Pro... I DON'T want to partition my XP drive... What will I do? Help any1?Thanks! |

unless you use a third party software like boot magic or edit your boot log, 98 will not boot when dual booting any two or more windows operating systems, regardless of drives or partitions the older operating systems need to be installed first, then install the later versions in order, if you wish to have even more.
