Hey

I'd installed a programs that allowed me to access php files locally, but it slowed down my computer which is based on win nt

I'm wondering is there anyway that i can install win xp on it. But my concerns is that i need to delete the patitions on both C:\ and D:\

Is there anyway of installing, can i just format my c:\ and how would i do so.

Huh? Wait.. how's the system set up?

I assume that NT has sprawled itself over both C and D? If that's the case, I would humbly suggest PartitionMagic if you don't want to reinstall both NT and XP from scratch so you avoid data loss (or at least greatly reduce the odds of it). Now, I'm no Windoze expert, but I'm pretty sure that if you try to format just one drive or the other (even if it's not technically the drive Windoze is "installed" on), you'll probably wind up with a bolixed system and have to format EVERYTHING.

My advice:

1. Backup data.
2. Make sure the data is backed up.
3. Backup the backup.
4. Reinstall Windows NT on one drive - XP on the other.
5 .......
6. Profit!
