HTML icon missing

Hello. Today, I went to open a html file I was working on, when I realized that the Internet Explorer icon wasn't on the html file... It got replaced with an icon that is for dos programs. How can I fix this???
BTW, Internet Explorer is my default browser, although I use MyIE2 also.

Search on www.microsoft.com for "tweakui". It is primarily a control panel extension, but it allows you to delete the "Icon Cache" what will probably solve your problem.
(I have to do this about every three month )

Seems like you installed FrontPage or IIS or something recently. It changed your default icon.

You can change it back like this:
press and hold down "SHIFT", right-click on a .html file and chose "open with". Select "Internet Explorer" and check "Always use this program to open this file type". Maybe youŽll have to clean the icon cache again, but it *should* be ok then.

Well, I think I know what is wrong, I installed MyIE2, and for some reason, it is now opening all html files, even though Internet Explorer is the default browser.
