Assuming you're online with the new IP, first make sure your windows is updated and you have some kind of firewall protection.
Then you normally just need to open the appropriate ports through your firewall for terminal services and RD, 1723 comes to mind but you should verify which ports you need. |

once i reset the server will it automatically pick up the new ip address or will i have to go in there and manually configure it? also do i need to add users that have accress to log in?
one more question.. when i do log in.. lets say i use my same username and pass that i use at the workstation. will it take me right to my workstation desktop? thanks for the hlep |

I suspect you'll need to manually configure the network settings in your computer to match your new fixed IP.
I am not real well versed in remote desktop and terminal services, but after you get connected I think you'll be viewing your remote desktop. |
