If I right click on IE on desktop & select properties, I get a screen with the following tabs General-Security-Privacy-Content-Connections-Programs- Advanced. Under Programs, the first choice is HTML editor which has Netscape selected with alternate choices of Microsoft word for windows or Windows Notepad |

You didn't have to create one ! A lot of shortcut icons get corrupted and don't open correctly causing problems and I just wanted to check. What happens when you double click on the shortcut, does it open OK or do you still get the 'illegal operation' ?

IE shortcut > property > Internet Option
(Oo;?(It's correct.) Hey Molej, Win98 shouldn't have zip achiver built-in, so that Windows cannot but open zip file by Word or WordPad. Download an archiver, they are mostly self-extraction exe file. Then you can extract zip at least. |
