internet port
Hi,
recently i downgraded from boardband to dialup, so i uninstalled my firewall as it slows my dial up down. I like to ask, is it possible to close internet ports in win2k(professional) without using any firewall?? If so, wat are the steps? Can any1 help? Thanks in advance note: I'm NOT a hacker or cracker (whatever the term is) |

If you open the TCP/IP properties of your connection, click the Options tab then click the properties for TCP/IP filtering. You can manually add or remove some port filters here.
Zonealarm or some other firewall is probably a better solution though. |

Maybe IP filtering isn't available on a dialup, I don't know. I checked on a W2K Pro computer to get the steps I posted above.
