Jet 4.0 SP8 for Win NT Server 4.0
I have a perl script that writes to an Access database. I tried installing the Jet SQL drivers from the following link:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=282010 It extracts and copies files, but I never get a response of completion of the process. I reboot the PC, the files have been placed on the harddrive, but the drivers to not show in the ODBC menu. I found an article that said to try the MDAC 2.8 install before the Jet 4.0 SP8. It didn't work either. Ideas? Phil |

And the answer is... Microsoft's website is too freakin confusing.
So, What I didn't have was the actual Jet SQL engine which I got from another source, then loaded the service pack. It is in German, but my script is working so I'm happy. Too many articles and links to the same topics saying different ways to install the same thing. I think I'm ready for a nap. Phil |
