Lsas.exe

Recently, whenever I try to load up windows xp i get an error message, "Lsas.ecec" is at the top and body says something like "could not match stored passwords" or somehting similar (it disappeasers quickly but i will rty to get whole message.) and then the system restarts, same thing happenes. I am ona dual-boot machine so if any files are perhaps messed up i can replace them. please help guys, thank you

I assume you mean lsass.exe?

Can you boot into Safe Mode (tapping F8 while booting)? If so, run your Antivirus and Anti trojan/Spyware software.

yes i tried that but i get the msg again, here is the exat message

lssas.exec SYstem Error
While attepting to update the password the value could not be matched by windows
