Multibooting xp+nt4

I recently got a new pc with xp home. I am not able to load some software meant for NT.
How can I have both existing XP and NT on the same machine. what are the steps involved.

Thanks much

nt xp multi boot

nt4 will have to be installed on the drive first, if you have a copy of xp that came preinstalled, it will have to be removed, partition the drive nt4 does not like newer hardware, a 2 gig partition for nt4 will be fine, much bigger and it doesnt work to well. if you only have a format and recovery disk for xp, this will not work, nor will a onboard recovery, like HP uses. My question is: Have you tried going to the control panel, add remove program, and try installing your software/ programs in compatibility mode for nt? that usually does the trick, but if like some wondows 98 stuff, you will have to have the xp cd and install nt, then xp unless you want to use something like bootmagic, which i personnally dont like.
