Newbie question on XP in 2000 domain.

Hello,
I'm trying to setup 8 new XP machines in our companys domain.
We have used win 98 machines as clients before this.
When I register the computer in the domain, the user on the computer has restricted access to the registry on the local computer. I.E when I log on as user "hans" I can't install apps because this user doesn't have access to write to the registry (at least not the parts required by the apps) or files in the "windows"-folder.
I have to login with the "administrator.domain"acc to get this done.
Is there a way around this?
Can I have the user to access the local register?

You probably need to add the domain user to the local XP PowerUsers or Administrators user group.

XP has it's own "local" users & groups. Look for the control panel Users settings to add/change things locally.
