No Icons, No Taskbar Windows ME

Hi, I'm having a big problem with my pc, when I turn it on it starts to boot, the wallpaper apperas, the start song plays, but there is no icons and no taskbar, I tried with safe mode but the same thing happens, my pc is a laptop Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo M Intel-Celeron and the OS is Windows Millennium (ME). I don't want to delete my files by re-installing Windows ME because I have a rock band and we have just finshed the recordings of our first demo-album and I have all the masters of the finished songs on wav format in my pc because I did the mixing job on my pc, and it was lots of time and money invested on this project, and now I'm desperate! Please HELP ME! Thank You.

Maybe you can try running the setup of Win ME once again and try to repair any improper installations.
