PHP & IIS on Windows 2000
i've been experiencing some problems with the loading of some images on my web site. whenever a particular image is loaded the iis locks up!! i just reformated my hard drive and i run iis from a different hard drive before i reformatted.

the files used to be on "C" now they're on "D". could it be that a new installation on windows 2000 doesn't read the new files??

when i open the files in netscape 4.... i get an enter username and password prompt.

i experienced this one time, what i did to solve the problem was to open up all the images in photoshop and manually save them again.

has anyone got this b4??? images that refuse to load and then your iis locks up!?

You'll have to reset your permisions in your images folder.

But try also the Service Pack for IIS

And also try Apache for Windows.... I had the same problems than you and Apache works great.

i solved the problem by "decrypting" the folders and files. they were encrytped from my previous windows 2000 installation. after i formated they could not be accessed. damn!
