Port forwarding in XP
Hi
i've been looking around the net for the last week or so trying to get info/help on port forwarding with no luck but i stumbled upon these forums and thought i'd ask here.. here is my problem: I have a XP box (connects to the net) and that shares the internet to a few computers, i have a debian box behind the XP box and i'd like to forward port 22 (ssh) to the internet... so far all i've found is the Start->settings->control panel->network connections->right click net->advanced->settings but this apparently only works if u have static ips Anyone know if there is a way for DHCP? |

Quote:
The machine that you are forwarding *to* needs a static IP or at least a host name that does not change. The router itself (XP) can use dynamic IP or dhcp, no prob.
