Printer Fails to Print (Sporadic)

We have a Sharp Printer/Copy/Fax connected via network W2K server and clients XP Pro. Lately the printer has been on the fritz, I can not determine what could be causing the problem.

The jobs get q'd up, when one fails they all just stack up behind each other and fail one at a time. To get the printer to print again I have to shut down the power and reboot it. That will get it working for a while until it decides to go out again.

The printer is also used for copy and faxing. I can ping the printer even if a job fails, I am getting through. I have restarted the spooler on the server. The printer guys blame the network and vice versa, Im about to trash the thing.

Has anyone had any experience like this before. It appears to me that the jobs are reaching the printer and I have to assume the proper drivers are in place since I had the mfg reps out here.

Thanks for your help
