Problem when downloading
Hi,
I have IE 5.5 and win98. When i click on a link to run an exe file or a pdf document from the web i get a blank page and nothing happens. But on the top left corner of the screen is an image file (you know where there is a square, triangle and circle in a little box). I dont know why this is happening, it didnt used to happen before. Has it got something to do with my IE preferences/settings? Can someone please tell me how i can fix this? Thanks.

Right click 'Save As' works but its a hassle when dealing with pdf files, i have to download it to my comp before viewing them. Also some pages redirect you to the download programs after clicking a link, so 'saving as' only saves the link.

And that happens with only pdfs or with all files? Check acrobat reader's settings...

It happens with exe files aswell. It seems to be ok with Zip files.
