Angry Random freezing in my W2K

Hi i started using W2k one month ago but i'm having a big problem: it freezes two or three times a day!!! I know W2k is much more stable than that but i can't figure out what the problem might be. It happens randomly. There's nothing in particular that triggers the freezing. That makes me think it might be a hardware problem (maybe the memory?) but i'm not sure.
Any ideas???

Try to make sure that your hardware is supported by Windows 2000. There are a few things out there (start with your video card) that aren't support and could be causing your problem.

2k

how did you install, upgrade from a different operating sys, or clean install, and did you use the ntfs file system, also list your hardware specs, they would be helpfull in determining this, what else have you installed on the computer, if it was a clean install, if a upgrade dont bother.did you install your drivers, even if the display is looking like it should, you may still want to look up the latest drivers for it and your other hardware, default windows drivers work ok till you can get the right ones. after you post the items i mentioned above will see what the problem might be.

I have upgraded to a geforce 4 64 meg graphics card and ever since i got it my computer started to freeze like ****. I read some reviews of my pc having an video card upgrade and they all said the most you should upgrade is a 32meg one. but i didnt want a ****ty 32 meg. how can you fix this problem if it is your video card that is causing it?
