how to redirect internet users on local machine

Ok, I'm developing a new website at my office. I have IIS running on my windows 2k machine (for local testing) and I want to know if this is possible:

In my test site, when I click 'home' it goes to example.com. I want to rig my test machine that when example.com is requested, it goes to the index page in my test web folder on my local machine. Is that possible?

    Thanks,
    Damon

setup a dns server. or add
    192.168.1.1 example.com
    to your c:/winnt/system32/drivers/etc/hosts
    (replace with your ip)

disadvantage: you cannot reach the "real" example.com anymore...
