router prob! please help!

ok again i have a routing problem....cept this time with a siemens router (model# SS2604) this is a speadstream router....im havin trouble finding the place in the router's options to where i can forward port 28070 to my machine so that i can host an online game......i found one place in there that has a list of ports but its for "services" and i dont know what that is......so if ne 1 can help me please do...i thank you in advance...

Yea services. That's what you want.

Look in the Manual that came with your router... Mine said everything I needed to know...

well c i tried goin into the services part and i forwarded the game port(28070) to 28070, ya know...to open it and that didnt work on tcp,udp,or both....then i tried goin to another place in it and it had a place where u could point ports to a certain machine....so i tried that and it didnt work.....

new thing tho...i looked at someone elses server on tha game and the port they use is 1580.....so im like "????????" wonderin y they use that port and not 28070 like everyne else.....ne 1 else help me wit this??????????

If you are playing a popular game and you want to keep your server private, you may elect to us a port of your own choosing. Or perhaps, you want to host multiple games on the same ip. Or, you are hosting a game behind a firewall which you do not control.
