Running a Batch file to Open Firefox and load a website

    Hi all,

I want to create a batch file that will open Firefox and load up a URL in the browser when I logon to my Laptop.

I have created the task which works fine when just loading up Firefox, but when I want to open up the browser and a webpage I get an error message.

I have the following line in my batch file (assuming that the URL following the application path will load - but it doesn't ):

    Code:
    "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe http://www.skysports.com"
    Thanks

Have you tried putting start at the front?

    Cheers,
    Jamie

    Yeah, thats sorted it. Thanks.

Here's a tricky one for ya (I think ). If I now wanted to load another page into another tab instead loading up two instances of Firefore, how would I write the command for that? I tried using the START command twice, but that just loaded up another instance of Firefox.

I'm not sure you'd be able to write any code for that, but you could install an extension (such as Tabbrowser preferences) and make Firefox open new tabs by default (rather than new windows)
