Script debugger hangs on Win 2K
I am really stuck on this. I cannot use the script debugger on my Win 2K / IE 5.5 system and it is driving me nuts.
When there is an IE error or I invoke Windows Script Host (with a /X option, say) I get to a window titled Just-In-Time Debugging and it asks me to select one of: New instance of Microsoft Script Editor or New Instance of Microsoft Script Editor 6.0 (If it's an IE error then there is some extra checkbox stuff about selecting a script in the window). Doesn't matter which one I select, it hangs. In the latter case it at least looks like some debugger is coming up, but I can't get to it.
I've made sure that debugging is enabled in IE. I've also downloaded the most recent (I think) debugger at Microsoft I found (scripten.exe and scd10en.ex - there was a mention of version 5.6).
Can anyone suggest what I should do to fix this situation. I can get a "Hello World" .vbs file to run fine.
Thanks,
Csaba Gabor
